Dancing has its roots in ritual prayer. Early humans danced for rain, successful hunting, fertility rites, appeasing the gods, and more. When we let our hair down, align with sound music, let our bodies move to their own unique rhythm, we open a channel to a higher energy that lifts our spirit. Dancing is a celebration of life - a sacred technique to brush off stagnant energy and the doldrums of life’s challenges. Like prayer our intent brings focus within our dance. All prayers must then be released to powers greater than our own in order for them to manifest.
It is our conscious release of “how” our desires will manifest that activates “the seed of our prayer”. Our dreams begin growing from that seed because we are in the act of doing; caring for the seeds, nourishing them by doing things that create the space for the dream to be birthed in it’s own perfect timing. Anyone who has worked in the garden can relate to this concept! One of my teacher’s teacher would often say “Get busy and stay busy!” As we stay busy, we must notice the work that contributes toward our priorities versus that which distracts or drains our energy. Do good work, be contentedly tired, and one day we will look around and see that what we so desired has come to be.

Eagle Dance, August 28-30 Our personal and collective prayers are danced to the center tree. Drummer singers maintain the heartbeat on a pow-wow drum during the entire dance and maintain the energy for us as we dance back and forth to the center tree. RSVP for more info and you will receive a list of what is needed and how to prepare. Early bird registration through August 7th.
