July 10-12 FREE EVENT! Juice Fast & Purification Lodge (Maria Night Eyes). Get a boost from the group dynamic to change food habits. Juice cleanses are shown to heal medical conditions and reduce the need for pharmaceuticals to fix our symptoms. A cleanse can bring greater clarity and increase our will to incorporate healthier eating habits. When we make changes with the support of others it is much easier than starting something on our own. QiGong and other simple activities will be offered to connect body, spirit, and nature as we cleanse. Participants will be provided a list of suggested fruits and vegetable to bring. Sunday, July 12 @ 11am Purification Lodge with Maria Night Eyes pouring a Sweet Medicine SunDance purification lodge to ceremonially integrate our work with the guidance of Spirit. This Lodge is open to the greater community! RSVP Kelly for the weekend or Maria to attend the lodge only.
Eagle Dance, August 28-30 Our personal and collective prayers are danced to the center tree. The “tree of life” acts as an antenna to spirit as we pray for guidance from the Universe in the coming year. Drummer singers maintain the heartbeat on a pow-wow drum during the entire dance and maintain the energy for us as we dance back and forth to the center tree. RSVP for more info and you will receive a list of what is needed and how to prepare. There are others that will assist first time dancers! Women’s Appalachian Broomcraft Workshop September 24-27. We welcome back our facilitator, Nam Joti Kaur Khalsa. Brooms are a symbol of protection and power throughout time and place; especially amongst women. Join us for a broom making workshop where we will gather as a Circle of Women to weave both a hand whisk and a full sized handled broom. Our time will be spent in ceremony, ritual and storytelling like so many women who came before. A purification lodge to activate our new brooms and whisks is optional!
