Toward a Council of All Beings - March 27-29
You are warmly invited to participate in a Council of All Beings ceremony weekend at the sanctuary of Spirit Canoe Lodge. This ceremony, developed by environmental activist and author Joanna Macy, invites participants to cultivate hope by nurturing their sacred relationship with the Earth.
The Council of All Beings ceremony is a three-part process that includes recalling our connection to the beginning of life, leaning into the grief for what other beings are suffering at human hands, and speaking on behalf of non-human beings. Participants will use guided meditation, journaling, art and circle time as tools for exploration. Through this multi-step process, we aim to realize that our deepest grief is ultimately born from the love we share for our living planet and all our relations.
Everyone is welcome. No prior experience is necessary, although it will be helpful to read the suggested materials under references. Space is limited and reserved by registering.
